Decreasing Water Loss
Water loss in water distribution system means water supply which has been made by Water Treatment plant, once released water into pipeline system to utilizer, there will be water loss because of leaky pipes that some water leakage is able to be found on the ground or roads, and some leakage is invisible because it percolates in underground. The remedy of which is repairing or changing new pipeline but unfortunately, all entire pipeline systems are underground and having large area, it is very difficult to find and obvious the leakage. Therefore, the decreasing water loss management has been implemented which have the processes as follows:
- DMA (DISDRICT METERING AREA) means to specify and divide area into small space for easy monitoring and simply pipeline leakage survey.
- Pipeline leakage walking survey by special equipment
- Pipeline leakage remedy
- Replacing new pipeline or improvement
- Changing and cleaning water meter
- GIS mapping
- Analyzing quantity and water pressure by Hydraulics simulation
